Dr. Owen is a graduate of Louisiana Baptist University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biblical Studies, a Master’s Degree in Biblical Studies, and a PhD in Biblical Studies. He has been in the ministry for over thirty years. He is the founding Pastor of CrossPoint Baptist Church. He is a dynamic preacher and utilizes PowerPoint illustrations. He has preached in churches in California, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Texas, and Washington. His pastoral experience expands more than twenty years of service.

Dr. Owen's wife is the church music director and is a conservatory-trained pianist. Their son is also involved in the music ministry of CrossPoint.  

Judy is the wife of Dr. Owen. She is a conservatory-trained pianist and has many years of experience as a church pianist, music director, and choir director. She has voiced-trained choir members, trained and assembled Quartets and Trios in the churches they have served in over the years, and has worked with children's choirs.
